Patriot's Point

On our way home from Wild Dunes, we stopped to take the boys to Patriot's Point. Jack was Sam's age the last time he had been to the aircraft carrier, so we figured both the boys would enjoy it now. It was Memorial Day, which meant that the ship was decked out with American flags and lots of volunteers (many veterans) who were eager to share their stories and knowledge.

Our family in front of the beautiful Charleston bridge.

Walking the bridge to the ship.

Here we are in front of the USS YorkTown's bell.

Peek-a-boo from the ship's porthole.

Inside the cockpit of a fighter jet. It's amazing how an aircraft carrier can hold so many planes!
