Check-up!

In a rush to get the boys to our dentist appointment on time, I told Sam to put on his shoes and get in the car. He listened very well. We were in the waiting room about ten minutes before I realized that maybe next time I should specify that the shoes should match eachother, oh, and that they should be his--not Jack's!

He didn't have to wear these, but he thought they were funny, so he threw them on. He was right:)

Buzz Lightyear school supplies

The Jasper family sent Jack and Sam some cool back-to-school supplies, including this Buzz & Woody paint/marker/crayon set. Sam and I got a headstart on trying everything out while Jack was at school. Thanks, guys!

Sam and I have been baking on Sunday nights after Jack goes to bed (I know, it's not fair that big brother goes to bed earlier, but Sam takes great naps every afternoon). His favorite part, ummm...besides licking the beaters...is sharing the treats we make. We made an awesome frosted carrot cake that was a big hit around the cul-de-sac and at Tuesday morning bible study. We also made a peanut butter brownie that was absolutely awful! We decided not to share that one:)

Back to School Blastoff!

The boys had fun at the preschool's Back to School Blastoff! It was a warm day, but we had a picnic lunch under one of the large shade trees on the playground, which made it bearable. We also waited in an impossibly long line for a snow cone--come Fall, come!!!
